Burgundy & Gold Style Shoot

January 16, 2018

Thanks for visiting our first blog post!

We cannot wait to share the journey we took to create this elegant and rustic wedding shoot! From shooting the whole thing in -10 Degrees Celsius to loading decor in the pitch black!

The inspiration for this style shoot came to us as we dreamed of what a perfect elegant winter wedding would look like to us. Finding the gorgeous table decor including White Gold Peyton Chargers, White Lace Plates and Gold brushed cutlery brought this table to life! Thanks to Plate Occasions  for providing all the gorgeous table ware!

The harvest table and woodlands folding chairs were the perfect pieces to make this shoot pop! Marvelle Events aka the guru of everything rustic and cute was happy to lend us some of their most gorgeous pieces!

The shoot could not have happened with out our awesome photographer Zsuzsi Pal who worked through the freezing cold temperatures to get the perfect shots! She endured and extremely long day but her fun and positive attitude helped to keep everyone in great spirits. She was able to create gorgeous photos that captured the style shoot perfectly! We cannot thank her enough for participating.

We would like to give a big shout out to Aberdeen from Icon Models who was the one in a strapless dress while in freezing cold temperatures! You can not tell from these photos but Aberdeen was freezing. We had heaters going in between shots to quickly warm her up but it was quite difficult! Thank you so much for being such a trouper as the photos turned out amazing and we could not have asked for a better model to work with.

The elegant and stunning stationary was created by Jenna from Polka Dot Paper Shop. She did an amazing job on the invitations & menus that brought life to the table!

Thank you to our florist Snowberry Botanicals for her amazing centerpiece and bouquet. The pop of burgundy, gold and subtle hints of blue and white turned these florals into statements! We couldn't have asked for better items to accent our shoot.

A huge thank you to Amanda Reid for the two striking hair and makeup looks she created! She did an amazing job with providing two very different looks within only an hour! Amanda stayed with us the entire day and helped to coordinate bringing the heater to the model during shots which was quite vital.

Finally, The Essential Details, us! We worked for about a month to put this shoot together. Even though we faced many challenges through out the planning process it was more than worth it. Thank you to all the vendors who made it possible!
